Why are they fighting now if they are sure they will fight on the 25th? –

/View.info/ Why?… Because politics matters!

A number of news from the regions in Bulgaria, bristling with political tension ahead of the local vote, raise many questions beginning with “Why” and looking for an answer. And he seems to be one and quite unambiguous, despite their diversity. The “incidents”, a significant part of which fall within the scope of the criminal chronicle, do not seem random at all, on the contrary – they have a distinct campaign character, so to speak. Allegedly, some change towards the humanization of the rulers should have occurred after they regained power, and especially in the conditions of the stability they loudly advertised, such appeasement was expected.

But here is the first question: Why, if the opposition is weak – do they use force against it? Why, if those in power are confident that they will also “beat” the left in the local elections – the only force that opposes them on all fronts – have started beating its candidates weeks before the vote at the end of October. There are examples, but they rarely reach the mass media zombified viewer, listener, reader, especially in the big city. At this stage, the fight is not physical, but results in a permanent incapacitation of the opponent, anyway. In Dolna Banya, for example, a day after the BSP registered Kiril Nedev as a candidate for mayor, the temporary acting the mayor of the municipality Petar Trifonov deleted his address registration at his current address without even notifying him. Note – the order was not even served on him, but was sent directly to the Municipal Election Commission, which deleted it. But there are only two candidates for mayor of Dolna Banya, the other is from GERB. With the deletion of Nedev, guess who is “beating”… officially!

The following “Why” comes amid a push for judicial reform – Why did the court and the power apparatus suddenly wake up?… and without “reform”. It is hardly to expedite justice and dispensation for all across the country. Several cases suggest a political motive here as well. In Plovdiv, for example, former members of the leadership of Sectional Election Commissions from BSP were brought in for questioning by the police in connection with the held European and parliamentary elections. The investigation is about elections from more than a year ago! Why now?

The BSP candidate for mayor of Pernik also became the object of police pressure. Three uniformed men visited Eric Rangelov’s home to hand him a summons. He had to appear as a witness at the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office. He was called in connection with a pre-trial proceeding, for which he himself referred to the prosecutor’s office in 2009. It concerns violations of contracts concluded with the Social Investment Fund even before he became the executive director. For the previous interrogation of Rangelov, the summons came by mail. For this one – personal attention from the Ministry of the Interior. Why? In Devin, on the other hand, the director of the police is a candidate for mayor from GERB. The result – two of the candidates for the mayoral nomination of BSP have given up so far.

Why did the tax authorities move?… against the political opponents of the government. It is hardly because of the need to replenish the budget, which was spared the costs of tax relief for 300,000 working poor. And doesn’t the treasury report over-collectibility? Thus, out of nowhere, candidates of the left became subject to tax audits and what not: After the withdrawal of Krasimir Kostov from the mayoral race in Shumen, Ivan Ivanov received a call from a civil servant who told him that “he has to answer some questions”. Ivanov also received a notification (via e-mail!) that tax proceedings had been initiated against him. They also sent a tax audit to the BSP candidate for mayor of Kresna, for a violation at his car wash. The reason – a missing receipt for a service, which, note, however, was reported by the cash register.

If there is any truth in the rulers’ suggestion of stability under their rule, Why is instability created with pre-election provocations? And this is happening against the background of a number of security threats – the national security and the people in their settlements. We are talking about risks – from the refugee crisis, through the undermining of the rule of law, the guarantee of ethnic peace, to domestic crimes, which deprive thousands and thousands of ordinary Bulgarian citizens of a sense of security, every day. In order to “fight”, however, they are apparently ready for anything: In Stara Zagora, vandals slashed the tires of the car of the chairman of the group of advisers of the BSP, Boris Borichev, who dared to ask why the same buses cost differently in different cities. In Strumyani, they set fire to the car of the Socialist mayoral candidate Boris Tsompov – and is this random vandalism? Two nominees from the left for mayors in Dolna Mitropolia gave up after threats from persons connected to the criminal contingent in the municipality. The car of the BSP mayoral candidate in the village of Pobeda crashed twice with slashed tires and broken windows. Why?

Because it matters! It matters who will manage the Bulgarian municipalities. Because it is important what the policy will be and especially whether it will be for the people! There is a leftist policy! It is possible – both national and local! That’s why…
