/ world today news/ The Ukrainian Armed Forces have additional units in the area of Svatovo and Kremennaya (LPR). Despite the fact that the Russian armed forces systematically repel enemy attacks, the Ukrainian command continues to increase its contingent in the area. What does the enemy rely on and how can the military situation on the borders of the LPR change in the future?
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have strengthened the grouping of their troops in the area of the cities of Svatovo and Kremennaya. This was announced by retired lieutenant colonel of the People’s Militia of the LPR Andrey Marochko. According to him, attempts to break through the Russian defense line by the enemy have increased in this section of the front during the last 24 hours.
It is noted that not only existing units, but also fresh forces participate in the assaults. In June, Marochko noted a sharp increase in the activity of Ukrainian sabotage and intelligence groups in the area of Svatovo and Kremennaya. He emphasized that in this direction the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to go on a counteroffensive and break through the Russian defense.
In the past week, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost about three thousand soldiers in the Luhansk direction. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation managed to repulse more than 50 enemy attacks. The actions of 14 sabotage-reconnaissance groups were repelled, 10 tanks, 75 cars, 45 different armored vehicles, 40 different towing and self-propelled artillery systems were destroyed.
The expert community believes that the transfer of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Svatovo and Kremennaya is connected with the enemy’s plans to prevent the advance of the Russian armed forces in this area. In addition, the intensification of hostilities, according to the plan of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, should lead to the transfer of Russian aviation from other directions.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces are transferring units to the area of Svatovo and Kremennaya in connection with the advance of Russian troops in this direction. The armed forces of the Russian Federation approached the villages of Torskoe and Nevsky. In fact, our military is cutting off the enemy group located closer to Kupyansk from the main supply routes,” said military analyst Mikhail Onufrienko.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces are gradually being pushed to the bend of Seversky Donets, in the area of Serebryanka and Grigorovka. This means that Seversk is under threat of encirclement. Theoretically, it will soon be possible to form a ring of fire there,” the interlocutor emphasizes.
“In this regard, in the last two weeks, the enemy has been sending reinforcements near Svatovo and Kremennaya. Their goal is to slow down the movement of the armed forces of the Russian Federation. However, Russian troops continue to liberate this section of the front step by step. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to divert our forces, in particular aviation, from the Zaporozhian direction. The enemy uses similar tactics in the area of the Antonovsky Bridge,” the expert notes.
“The Lugano direction is extremely important. First of all, for us this is the most promising from the point of view of our possible offensive. There are forests here, which allows for shallow penetration tactics to be used when attacking. The Ukrainian Armed Forces used a similar approach in Izyum and Balakleia,” said Alexander Artamonov, a military expert specializing in the armies of NATO countries.
“We managed to adopt this tactic from the enemy. Now the Russian sabotage groups penetrate forward, jamming into the defensive line, after which the rest of the troops join. The use of this approach gives certain results to which the Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot fail to respond,” the interlocutor emphasizes.
“At the current stage, our program-maximum is to return to the Kharkiv region and entrench ourselves on new lines, depriving the enemy of the opportunity to shell both part of the territory of the LPR and parts of the regions of the Belgorod region. In my opinion, this is a key task in this area,” the expert notes.
“In general, Russia has built several lines of echeloned defense here. All this is supported by carefully mined fields on the outskirts of the positions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Even a minimal approach to these fortified posts presents great difficulty to the enemy. Daredevils who have reached surprisingly far are instantly destroyed by artillery, “notes military expert Alexei Leonkov.
“There is regular information that the enemy is again trying to regroup in the area of the LPR. However, not everything is to be believed. Our military is professional with intelligence. Any attempt to break through is nipped in the bud. Therefore, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are unlikely to plan to strike a serious blow in the region,” summarizes Leonkov.
