After several reports from the citizens, related to the deterioration, insecurity and lack of maintenance of such scenarios, Vanguardia was able to verify the abandonment in which they are, both in terms of infrastructure, cleaning and caring for the areas. greens and footpaths.
In addition to this type of damage, children are harmed by the lack of arrangement of their respective play areas.
After this painful X-ray, the neighbors made a strong call to the Mayor of Bucaramanga to restore maintenance tasks in these places.

The most energetic in this petition were the residents of the Parks: San Pío, Turbay, Antonia Santos Centro, Centenario, Las Palmas, Los Leones, Bolívar, La Flora and Los Sarrapios, who are in a complete state of neglect.

The community also denounced that something similar is happening in areas such as the obelisk of Puente La Novena ‘Alejandro Galvis Ramírez’, which is flooded with undergrowth and is at the mercy of begging.
For this reason, the citizenship requests the Municipality to assign decoration and cleaning crews, in such a way that the city parks can be beautified and rescued.
The community assures that Bucaramanga is no longer characterized by its beautiful parks, but because they are dirty, forgotten and, what is worse, now they are dormitories for beggars and shelters for criminals.

Iván José Vargas Cárdenas, Secretary of Infrastructure of the Municipality, said: “In accordance with the regulatory frameworks, the municipal administration and the companies that provide services have been carrying out a coordinated work to carry out, as soon as possible, the attention of the parks and the green areas for its beautification ”.
