Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – There is an increasing trend of Android users who finally choose to move to the iPhone.
A report from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) found that Android users have continued to switch to iPhones in the last 10 years. In fact, the trend has increased between 10% and 15% in recent years.
The latest data now reveals the various factors behind the switch from Android to iPhone users.
In research released at the end of May, CIRP said that the majority of Android users switched to iPhones because their Android phones were slow or damaged and needed to be replaced.
Android users who moved to iPhone for this reason reached 53% of the total respondents surveyed by CIRP.
Meanwhile, 26% of respondents said they wanted to try out new features, such as an improved camera, an expanded selection of accessories, or a more user-friendly interface.
Finally, 15% of them consider the issue of cost. They found that buying a new iPhone was more affordable than expected or compared to similar Android phones.
The remaining 6% want to use the community ecosystem that exists at Apple. They want a cellphone that integrates seamlessly with their family and friends, including using iMessage and FaceTime on the iOS platform, as quoted from AppleInsiderTuesday (6/6/2023).
After moving to iPhone, many users have found that the software, services, and connected hardware within Apple’s ecosystem can be a powerful factor in their staying with the brand.
