After officially joining Manchester United from Inter Milan in a £48 million transfer, Andre Onana has taken the unique choice of wearing the number 24 shirt. In fact, No.1 is the traditional number for a goalkeeper, and the number has been out of action following David de Gea’s departure from Old Trafford.
Instead of following in the footsteps of legends such as Edwin van der Sar and Peter Schmeichel, Onana chose to stick with No.24, which he also wore while defending Ajax and Nerazzurri.
