One of the volunteer COVID-19 ambulance drivers, Antonius, said that there are 4 types of siren sounds commonly used by ambulances. The sound of the ambulance siren will vary depending on the current situation.

“We turn on the siren so that the sick family or neighbor hears the ambulance has arrived and directs our crew to the person concerned. That saves a lot of time and may mean a lot to him who is fighting for his life with Covid.” he wrote on his personal Twitter account quoted by detikcom with the permission of the person concerned, Sunday (18/7/2021).
