Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The land mafia continues to be eradicated by the government. The reason is that anyone can become a victim, including the giant state-owned Pertamina.
The Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR) or Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) Sofyan Djalil revealed that the land mafia does not only destroy land owned by residents. But also targeting state-owned land.
“This (land mafia action) is happening all over Indonesia. Who are the victims? The victims are not just the community. Pertamina (also) victims heard? That was the case in Rawamangun, where Pertamina’s land was being sued,” said Sofyan Djalil quoted Friday (8/10/2021) .
He emphasized that the Ministry of ATR/BPN will resolve every land case to create legal certainty in the land sector. “It’s not the number that is the problem, but we must try to resolve any of these land disputes and cases. Our ultimate goal is of course to create legal certainty in the land sector,” he said.
Sofyan continued, the root causes of land disputes and conflicts could come from internal and external to the Ministry of ATR/BPN.
“We will continue to improve the internal affairs of BPN, ladies and gentlemen. I will continue to work with all, the Director General, Head of Regional Offices, Head of the Land Office, and all BPN personnel so that we together prevent conflicts or disputes that occur because of BPN’s internal error,” he said.
In addition to correcting mistakes and errors, Sofyan also takes action against elements of the Ministry of ATR/BPN who intentionally cause land cases.
“If there is an error, we will correct it, we will correct it, but if it is intentional, of course, we will not be able to tolerate this. We have and will continue to take disciplinary action against BPN elements who intentionally have mens rea which causes land disputes and conflicts. ,” he said.
Meanwhile, sources of land cases from external to the Ministry of ATR/BPN, for example, are things that are done by criminals or the so-called land mafia. Sofyan said that in resolving land disputes and conflicts that occur due to internal and external reasons, it requires support from various parties at the central and regional levels.
“If we can do this, I am sure that legal certainty in the land sector will be much improved. Finally, if this happens, then all members of the community will benefit, the economy will benefit, and economic growth will benefit, creating jobs that are highly desired by the government and the whole nation. we carry it out.
