Price flight ticket more expensive, passengers have to spend more to be able to fly. The increase in various components of flight costs led to an increase in the price of airline tickets.
Airfare prices are already expensive with the increase in the price of avtur fuel. Now, the airport tax alias PJP2U service rate (Aircraft Passenger Services) has increased at dozens of airports in Indonesia.
The travel entrepreneur said that due to the airport tax increase, plane tickets may increase to Rp. 60,000. This was said by the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Travel Agent Association (Astindo) DPP Pauline Suharno.

“If you look at the rate increase, I don’t think it’s too big actually. It ranges from around IDR 10,000-60,000,” said Pauline to detik.comTuesday (19/7/2022).
According to Pauline, the contribution of the airport tax increase is still relatively small in the cost composition flight ticket. Only this increase will still be felt because the trend of air ticket prices is skyrocketing.
The majority of airlines still offer ticket prices in high price ranges. Moreover, there are still regulations that allow airlines to set a fuel surcharge.
Mostly, currently, domestic airlines set prices in the middle to upper range of the upper limit fare range on each route.
“The high price of this ticket also happens because the airline does not issue a promo price. Everything at that price ranges from the middle to the top,” said Pauline.
