According to Whoopi Goldberg, preparations are underway for a third film in the Sister Actseries. There were already rumors that a sequel of the well-known comedy films from the 1990s would be coming, but the actress confirms Wednesday in The Late Late Show that a new part will definitely appear.
“For a long time it was said that nobody was waiting for this. And recently it became clear that people now think differently about this,” says 64-year-old Goldberg. “So we are currently busy looking at how we can get everyone back together for a new movie.”
The actress describes the first two films as “entertaining and feelgoodNo one is angry. You hear bad, great and ok singing. And there are some nuns. It couldn’t be better, right? “
It was already reported in 2018 that there may be a second sequel Sister Act. At the time, there was talk of the film being released on Disney +.
Goldberg was selected for her role as Deloris in the Sister Act1992 film nominated for a Golden Globe. Released in 1993 Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit. Harvey Keitel and Maggie Smith were also featured in the movies.
