Wholesaler Kaindl reorganizes management

Austrian Company Kaindl Expands Management Team as Industry Faces New Challenges

Leonding, Austria-based wholesale company Kaindl has announced a significant restructuring of its management team, a move that comes amidst growing pressure on the industrial and commercial supply sector.

Kaindl, a company with a rich history dating back over 240 years, has transitioned from its origins as a tannery to become a leading provider of a wide range of supplies, including pipes, foils, tools, work clothes, and cleaning products.

This restructuring sees the expansion of Kaindl’s management team from four to six members, reflecting a proactive response to the evolving demands of the industry. Managing director Thomas Hopfinger remains at the helm, while Alexander Haidinger assumes a new position as Head of Product Management, encompassing purchasing, sales, and warehouse operations. Franz Waldhör steps into the role of Head of Sales.

"Digital, sustainability, product availability and cost pressure – these are the current challenges which concern us as partners to well-known business and commercial companies," explains managing director Thomas Hopfinger on the underlying reasons for this strategic move.

The expanded team structure sees Engelbert Füreder shifting from his role in product management to focus on the burgeoning area of “Marketing and Systems.” Gerhard Mühlbauer, a longstanding member of the Kaindl team with over 20 years of experience, joins the management team to support this critical initiative.

The company’s expansion of its management team signifies not simply a change in structure, but a clear commitment to navigating the increasingly complex landscape of the industrial supply sector. It reflects Kaindl’s dedication to adapting to the new realities facing businesses today, prioritizing digital advancement, environmentally responsible practices, and ongoing supply chain stability.
