Anyone who buys an apartment or house in Flanders to start living in themselves will soon have to pay only 3 percent instead of 6 percent registration duties on that purchase. That is one of the measures that Flemish Prime Minister Jan Jambon (N-VA) will announce this afternoon in the September statement of the Flemish government, VRTNWS learns from a good source. For the purchase of a second home, the registration fees would then increase from 10 to 12 percent.
