Who will win the Golden Balloon?

I am someone who has been watching football since 2015. And I am aware that this world is not and has never been fair. It has just struck me for a long time (since the last Ballon Dor Awards in Paris in 2023) that Lionel Messi wins every award there is to win. That’s how it was yesterday when the 2023 Fifa Men’s Player of the Year Award was handed out – and who won it? Of course, Messi. I like Messi and obviously it’s good to see him win a lot. But the truth is that this is slowly and unfairly. What exactly do I mean by that? Well, Messi scored 28 goals for PSG and Inter Miami last year, while also winning trophies such as the League Cup in America and Ligue 1 in France. Well and good – however, there are players like Erling Haaland who scored 52 goals in 2023, who won the Premier League, the FA Cup, the Champions League, i.e. the entire treble. Mbappe also shot, big and small, and won too. FIFA says all along that Messi will win because he won the 2022 World Cup in Qatar for Argentina. But that was over a year ago and the new season has long since started. What worries me all the time is that Erling Haaland or Mbappe deserve the Ballon Dor and the other awards.

I would like to hear your opinion on this, because this topic was and still is close to my heart.
