Who will save us from inflation? A call from Kristalina

The 20 largest economies to take urgent action to fight inflation. This was announced by the managing director of the IMF, Kristalina Georgieva, at the meeting of the G-20 finance ministers in Indonesia.

According to her, the war in Ukraine has increased the pressure on the prices of raw materials and energy, BNT reported. The pandemic and supply problems are further straining the global economy.

The two-day meeting of G20 finance chiefs ended without a joint statement. The main differences are over Ukraine, but participants agreed on the need for measures to address the worsening food crisis.
