Some categories of Ukrainian pensioners will grow in 2022 pension payments – this is provided by the state budget.
Details and terms were revealed on the air of the TV channel “Ukraine 24“Director of the Department of Pensions of the Pension Fund of Ukraine Olena Okhrimenko.
According to her, from March 1, they will recalculate pensions for liquidators and disabled people of the Chernobyl accident. A month after that, a recalculation of payments for working pensioners should be made, but it will be carried out later in connection with the “change in reporting”. Surcharges are promised to be credited from April 1.
“In July there will be changes in social standards, again – a change in the subsistence minimum. Next, we will have a change in the minimum wage this year from October 1. Also, from October 1, there will be persons who have reached the age of 65 and have 30-35 years of insurance. I would like to note that for them the minimum pension cannot be lower than 40% of the minimum wage, “said Osipenko.
Earlier, the Ministry of Social Policy said that in 2022, from March 1, it will be produced indexation of pensions for all pensioners, and from October 1, pensioners aged 70-75 will receive additional monthly supplements in the amount of up to 300 hryvnia.
How the amount of pension is calculated in Ukraine
The pension of Ukrainians is calculated according to the formula: the average salary in the country for three years multiplied by the ratio of the average salary to one’s own, by the length of service in years and by 1%. At the same time, in retirement, you can receive not 80% of your salary, but only 80% of the average salary in the country for three years, provided that your salary at that time was not lower.
Pension increase in 2021
From December 1, 2021, in Ukraine for all categories of pensioners, the minimum pension was increased from 1854 to 1934 hryvnia.
On December 17, 2021, Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal announced that the average pension in Ukraine in December this year reached almost 4 thousand hryvnias.
