By participating in this program, beneficiaries obtain coverage against the risks of disability, old age and death, including funeral assistance for survivors.
The affiliation process entitles beneficiaries to a percentage of the total contribution amount, generally between 5% and 30%, while the remaining percentage is subsidized by the National Government through the Pension Solidarity Fund.
Who can benefit from this program?
This is aimed at the population groups mentioned above, such as those over 40 years of age, councillors, surrogate mothers, aldermen and people with disabilities.
Affiliation process
To become a member, it is important to meet certain requirements, such as belonging to certain Sisbén IV score subgroups, which are specified according to the new methodology.These subgroups are divided into categories A, B and C, each with their respective score ranges.

The affiliation process has been simplified and can now be done online from anywhere in the country through the Pension Solidarity Fund Transaction Portal. Simply enter the portal, fill in the requested data and follow the instructions provided.

Request a refund of pension contributions
In this regard, when making an incorrect payment, the form to request the return of contributions can be accessed by going to the Colpensiones website, where the form ‘return of contributions to third parties and entities’ can be downloaded and filled out.
With this, to make the request for a refund cause Exonerated or Decree 510, the person must attach the administrative act of pension recognition.

In addition, it should be noted that payment can only be made if there are no outstanding debts for contributions by the contributor. If there are outstanding debts, the contributor must initiate the process of normalizing the account status through the Contributor Web Portal (PWA).
The bank certification must:
- Correspond to an entity affiliated with the ACH network.
- Be valid for more than one month.
- It must be a different account from the one used to pay the pension and be in the name of the contributor.
- Be active when Colpensiones transfers the resources.
