What do you get with one of the best smartwatches in the country with a few minor improvements? Well, one of the best smartwatches in the country. In short, it’s the Apple Watch Series 8. Great … because Series 7 watches are.

Honestly, it’s a tough time for tool reviewers (in an incredibly distinct sense). Don’t worry about the old complaint that all smartphones look the same. Over the past year, all updated devices have remained essentially unchanged from those replaced. It seems like a problem Highlight It is there that “we find the difference”.

But I can’t say that I completely blame Apple (or any other). The Apple Watch Series 7 is in all respects a great smartwatch. If you change something drastically, something could break down the road. Hence, the Apple Watch Series 8 is safe to play with with slight differences here and there. It might not be exciting for tech critics, but for the average person who probably won’t upgrade every year, the Apple Watch is one of the best (if not the best) smartwatches you can buy.

Design: always the same

  • Dimension: 41mm (41 x 35 x 10.7mm) or 45mm (45 x 38 x 10.7mm)
  • Weight (aluminum): 41mm + GPS (31.9g), 45mm + GPS (38.8g), 41mm + cellphone (32.2g), 45mm + cellphone (39.1g)
  • Weight (stainless steel): 41mm + cell (42.3g), 45mm + cell (51.5g).
  • Monitor: Always On OLED Retina LTPO display with brightness up to 1000 nits
  • building materials: aluminum or stainless steel

do you know that Writing desk Does the meme end with “the same picture” as the punchline? Basically, you can use Apple Watch Series 7 and Series 8 side by side. Same square screen with rounded corners (squirrel), same digital crown and same buttons to press.

If you look from the side, you will find the same cutouts, the same dimensions and the same special connections as the watch band. I have a Starlight Aluminin case and a sports ring. Starlite Aluminum is clearly another way of saying “different shades of gray”. Looks good. The sporty loop adds color above all else and is perfect for everyday use. It may not match your formal attire, but you can always purchase another suit.

I don’t want to rely too much on “If you watch an hour, you watch them all” here, but in this case it is very true. If you liked the look of the previous Apple Watches, you will love this watch too. And if you don’t, you won’t.

Some new features you may not use

  • system on chip: S8 SiP Advanced Dual-Core 64-bit (مثل SE 2nd generation و Apple Watch Ultra)
  • Storage: 32 GB
  • Said: L1 (single channel) GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, Beidou, perpetual altimeter, compass
  • light sensor: Third generation heart rate sensor, ECG heart rate sensor, blood oxygen sensor, wrist temperature sensor
  • Other sensors: High gravity accelerometer (collision detection), high dynamic range gyroscope, always-on altimeter, ambient light sensor, microphone

So what’s new in the Apple Watch Series 8? Well, not much. And some of the new features may not help, one of the most important being the new built-in temperature sensor in the watch. Measure the temperature on your wrist. But before you think “Honey, can you check if I have a fever?” Unfortunately I can not.

It is like a background sensor that improves other tracking such as sleep and ovulation. As a man, the latter does not apply to me. And when it comes to sleep tracking, well, the battery life still isn’t enough to use this feature. When I turned it on, I didn’t do it for a day, so this is my favorite.

But with a full day and a half of battery life, night is the best time to charge the watch. This means it cannot be used to track sleep patterns. If needed, a day and a half battery life means that if you forget to charge it, you still have enough battery life to charge it first thing in the morning. But it won’t take long enough to completely forget about recharging every night.

Another novelty is the detection of road accidents. Unfortunately I haven’t tested it. Apparently, just riding the roller coaster in my local theme park, Kings Island, the feature is off and calling 911, so in theory you could give it a try. R.

However, if you get into a car accident and have an iPhone 14 or Apple Watch Series 8, newer devices should be better at detecting this fact and calling for help automatically. Other devices can do that too, but the latest version is claimed to be more accurate.

Other than that, this is almost the same as the Series 7 watch. So all the pros and cons apply here, right down to the battery life.

Should you buy an Apple Watch Series 8?

Review by Josh Hendrickson / Geek

that is the question. I don’t use the Apple Watch very often. I spend more time on my Android phone, so I tend to wear OS watches. When I come back, the Apple Watch is the reason why I should consider sticking with the iPhone. The Wear OS experience so far is incomparable.

The fact that Apple is able to tightly integrate the experience between iPhone and Apple Watch really proves it and the overall experience is simply better than that offered by Wear OS. The latest Apple Watch is the best the company has ever offered.

But should you buy it? Well it depends. Do you already own one? If you don’t own an Apple Watch and have an iPhone, I can highly recommend an Apple Watch of some kind. Perhaps the latest version of the Apple Watch SE is the best option. It’s nearly as low as the 8 Series. The Ultra is the heyday of the latest Apple Watch, but it goes way beyond the needs of the average person. But if you want the best features that don’t require climbing, the Series 8 is the best Apple Watch you can buy.

If you already have an Apple Watch, the math is a little more complicated. You have an Apple Watch from the Series 7 era, so you can skip it. Not enough to justify the extra cost. But if you have an older device, yes, you will appreciate the update you got here. In fact, Apple still makes the best smartwatches in the country.
