Who was? Reveal that one of the largest Bitcoin wallets moved $ 1 billion

The cryptocurrencies were shifted to two other unknown addresses.

The operation took place on June 27 and was reported by the Bitcoin Block Bot, which automatically reviews transactions.

The 101,857 Bitcoins were deposited in two other unknown addresses: one of them received 5,000 BTC and the other the remaining 96,857 BTC.

The portfolio that made the transaction is one of the largest if it does not take into account the market operators, and it owns about 0.55% of all existing Bitcoins. In fact, according to the specialized site Genbeta, it ranks third, behind exchanges like Huobi and Binance.

Once the movement was informed, hypotheses quickly emerged as to who carried out the operation.

The first reference pointed to the exchange BitStamp.

But immediately two other names appeared to join the list of possible authors: the Winklevoss brothers (the twins who brought Mark Zuckerberg to justice for the intellectual authorship of Facebook and who have a powerful investment fund) and Hal Finney’s family, the first person to run the Bitcoin software after its founder, the enigmatic Satoshi Nakamoto.

Although in the case of cryptocurrencies, these questions are never clear, since for privacy reasons no personal or client portfolio movements are reported.
