There is commotion among billiards players and fans after meeting on the morning of this Tuesday, January 30, the death of Jesús de la Hoz, ‘Aretico’, in a traffic accident registered on the road that connects the municipality of Maicao with Albania, La Guajira.

According to the report provided by the authorities, the road accident occurred on the night of Monday, January 29, when a Mazda car with license plates BBE-095 collided from behind with another Volkswagen truck-type vehicle, apparently for not respecting the safety distance, losing his life on the spot after the strong impact. Two people died and another was injured in the accident.
‘Aretico’ was champion and runner-up in several national tournaments representing the billiard leagues of the departments of Cesar and Atlántico. in the team mode of 9-Ball Pool Billiards and in individual tournaments.
Jesús de la Hoz began practicing this sport to take advantage of his free time, however, given his good conditions, he took billiards seriously and turned it into a way to make a living as a professional player.
