WHO warns of Ebola outbreak in Guinea and Congo | Voice of America

The WHO said on the 15th that the Ebola virus outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Guinea in Africa require special attention.

The WHO tweeted today that the Ebola vaccination had begun in the city of Butembo in eastern Congo.

In Congo, Ebola deaths were reported in three months on the 7th, and four infection cases have been confirmed to date.

Health authorities in Guinea, West Africa, also declared an “Ebola outbreak,” claiming that four people were killed after being infected with the Ebola virus.

In this regard, WHO Deputy Secretary-General for Emergency Response Michael Ryan said the dangers of the Ebola virus must be extremely vigilant.

The Ebola virus spreads only through contact with body fluids, severe vomiting and diarrhea, and persistent high fever.

Earlier, the Ebola virus spread rapidly in West Africa, killing 11,300 people over the past three years since 2013.
