who wants to win lockers?

Who wants the locker of David Holston, the best player in JDA Basket? If this is your case, stay tuned. This summer, the club is completely renovating its locker rooms. On this occasion, the lockers of players and staff members are auctioned on the Internet.

The concept is simple and rather original. Everything happens online. From Wednesday July 13, you can connect to the online auction site Now Store. You will find a small announcement for each of the 16 lockers, “high over 1.50 meters, marked with the name of the last player who occupied it and the old logo of the club” describes Lucile Bongiovanni, commercial and marketing director of the JDA group.

For two weeks, the auctions are open, with an entry price of 70 euros per locker. We warn you right away, these lockers will be empty. No chance of finding a jersey or a pair of socks. All storage will be cleaned before being given to the lucky winners.

10-year-old collector’s memorabilia

At the JDA, we boast of an initiative that allows lovers of the club toget a 10-year-old collector’s souvenir : “Normally, no one can access the changing rooms. What happens behind the door is almost mythical. Finally, with this sale of lockers, we are giving our supporters a little piece of JDA history.” explains Lucile Bongiovanni. A special box in the name of Jean-Louis Borg, historical coach of the JDA, will also be presented, and all funds raised will be donated to a local charitywhich has not yet been made official.

Will that be enough to excite the crowds? The first impressions we have been able to gather are mixed. Among supporters’ clubs, few are currently interested. So, will the recycling of lockers be a success? Response in two weeks.
