Next weekend, the Motoball teams will be competing for a place in the placement game for ninth place and, of course, for a place in the final of the German Motoball Championship 2024. In the play-offs, Puma Kuppenheim and Ubstadt-Weiher have earned themselves very good starting positions for the return match with clear first leg victories in Mörsch and Durmersheim respectively. In the placement round, Halle and Budel are on the verge of reaching the final.

Last Saturday, MBC Kierspe lost 3:9 to MBV Budel in the Netherlands. A heavy burden for the return match, as MBC coach Andreas Fiebig knows: “Of course, you should never say never. We are playing on our own pitch, so we will of course try everything again. But making up six goals is very difficult.” Budel goes into the return match with a big lead, but Stan Looijmans warns his teammates about their opponents: “It will definitely be an exciting and tough match. We have to give it our all.” Kick-off in Kierspe will be at 4:30 p.m.

MSC Malsch also faces a difficult task. After the 1:12 defeat in the first leg in Halle, a place in the placement match for ninth place is almost impossible. “We want to use our home advantage and make it as difficult as possible for Halle. I don’t think we can turn the game around, but we still want to beat Halle at home,” says Malsch’s sports director Lukas Schmidkunz. 1. MBC 70/90 Halle wants to take the last step towards the final match on Saturday from 5 p.m. on the Malsch pitch. “We are not afraid of the return match. We want to play for ninth place and we will make that happen in Malsch,” says Halle’s chairman Torsten Wochatz confidently.

The MSC Ubstadt-Weiher showed an impressive performance in the 8:3 first leg victory at MSC Comet Durmersheim. The Spargelstädter made up a 1:3 half-time deficit and fought and earned an excellent starting position for the return match next Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Motoball Arena. Luca Böser was not entirely satisfied with the first leg and hopes for an improvement in performance: “I expect a better performance from us in the return match. We had a hard time getting into the game and want to play better at home and give it our all to make it to the final.” For Comets goalkeeper and player-coach Timo Brunner, the five-goal deficit is a heavy burden: “It will of course be very difficult for the return match, but miracles do happen. We will approach the task in Ubstadt-Weiher with concentration and want to give it our all there. It is also important to us that we end the season with a strong performance.”

On Sunday, MSC Puma Kuppenheim will host MSC Taifun Mörsch. After the 8:2 first leg win in Mörsch, the reigning German champions are making great strides towards the final in Jarmen. “We want to get to the final,” said Max Schmitt. That should be possible with a concentrated performance. MSC Taifun Mörsch is still plagued by injury concerns. Nevertheless, the record champions want to sell themselves as dearly as possible in the stadium on Eichetstrasse and say goodbye to their fans with a good performance.
