“In my opinion, everything possible should be done to try to create a stable government in this parliament. I would not say who the prime minister would be – Kiril Petkov could be, Asen Vassilev could be and, if necessary, another person.”
This was stated by the resigned Minister of Education and Science Acad. Nikolay Denkov in the program “Support People” on Bulgaria ON AIR.
According to him, two things are key: “First, to be a stable government – to have a majority to rely on the legislative part. Second, this government to continue to move Bulgaria in the right direction in terms of priorities – European orientation and reforms. .. “
“We should try to do that. If we can’t, we will go to the polls, but I think every responsible politician should try to do the first part,” he said.
According to Acad. Denkov, means of expression such as “mafia”, “some money”, “national traitor” are inappropriate for the National Assembly.
“An MP, a politician should be an example. He should be an example for everyone, from children to the oldest. And there is a lot of disappointment here. I see a lot of obvious untruths that are constantly pouring out on television. We get used to it. “And it is disastrous. The sensitivity that there is truth and falsehood must be restored. There may be a dispute, but it must be led by arguments, and when there are no arguments, then epithets are glued,” said the resigned Minister of Education.
Therefore, children should teach them in school that the epithets show a lack of arguments, it became clear from his words. “This must return as a culture of communication in society in general, and as a culture of political communication,” said Acad. Denkov.
Nearly 30% of seventh-graders who took part in the national external assessment in Bulgarian language and literature do not understand the text they are reading. And 40% have difficulty understanding the suggestions of individual quotes.
Half of the children find it difficult to extract information from a table and chart. This shows the analysis of the results of the matriculation exams after 7th grade. The Ministry of Education and Science announced the results of the exams.
According to the resigned Minister of Education, the average results of the exams are comparable to last year’s.
“I see people staring. Two points up or down, it doesn’t matter that much. We need to see what the specific changes need to be so that students and teachers know that what is being learned is age-appropriate. “I myself came across textbooks in which I found it difficult to write what was written, nothing that I am an academic, so what is left for a normal parent,” said Acad. Denkov.
