Who recognizes the bikes? / Looking for whistleblowers on origin, whereabouts and owners

Mountainbike 5

Seeheim-Jugenheim (ots) – The Darmstadt criminal police are looking for the owners of a total of five mountain bikes for the continuation of investigations aimed at allocating possible stolen property. The wheels are models from the Carver, Centurion, Bulls and Simplon brands. The pictured mountain bikes, which allegedly come from criminal offenses, were found as photographs in the picture gallery of a seized cell phone. Because two more bikes stored in this photo gallery could already be assigned to theft offenses, the investigators do not rule out that the remaining found objects shown can also be assigned to criminal offenses and could be considered stolen goods. As the owner of the seized cell phone, the suspicion is currently directed against a 16-year-old from Seeheim-Jugenheim. As early as December 2020, the young man had come into the sights of the officials as part of a separate procedure due to the misappropriation of a wallet. In this context, the search of his home was carried out with a court order. The officers secured the cell phone and, after evaluating it, found the numerous suspicious images of the two-wheelers. Against this background, the detectives of Kommissariat 35 are looking for witnesses who can provide information on the origin, the whereabouts or the owners of the bikes. The officials can be reached under the number 06151/9690 for all relevant information.

Note to media representatives: The photos of the bicycles are available for download in our digital press kit.
