/ world today news/ The resignation of Georgi Parvanov is a logical consequence of yesterday’s vote in the National Assembly, in which the ABV parliamentary group supported the assumption of a new debt in the amount of 16 billion. leva, despite his statements that this should not be done.
Of course, no one else expects anyone to lead the ABV except Parvanov, so there is a certain element of theatrics in this gesture. No one expects the resignation to be accepted.
However, the question will be put on the agenda: who manages the ABV parliamentary group? Whether Boyko Borisov through the power resource, or Georgi Parvanov as the chairman of the party. That will be the key issue to be discussed, not the resignation.
The ABV group is pragmatically oriented, while Parvanov is still thinking about the upcoming local elections in the fall, unlike his deputies, who, together with their entourages, are trying to realize enough positions in power. An example of this is one of the recent appointments of Petar Seferov as executive director of the Port of Varna, who is the son of ABV activist Ivo Seferov. This appointment best illustrates what was written just above.
