19.08.2021 | (rsn) – Primoz Roglic (Jumbo – Visma) did not win the 6th stage of the Vuelta a Espana, but took back the red jersey of the overall leader and gave all his opponents a few seconds to win the Vuelta – one even several minutes. radsport-news.com briefly scrolled through the rankings and looked for which of the co-favorites on Montana de Cullera left it for how many seconds.
In addition to Roglic on the two-kilometer-long final ramp on the Mediterranean coast, Aleksandr Vlasov (Astana – Premier Tech) and Enric Mas (Movistar), who were fourth and fifth, only lost four seconds to the Slovenian defending champion.
Egan Bernal (Ineos Grenadiers) and the Movistar duo Alejandro Valverde and Miguel Angel Lopez lost eight and nine seconds respectively, and with a view of the big picture of this three-week tour, they could also call themselves winners of this section.
