Martha Issdaughter actress Lenka Termerová (74) and director Moris Issa (76), has had a very rich career. No wonder, then, that after so many years in film, she longed to win prestigious statuette of the Czech Lion for acting. In 2019, she had already won the Czech Lion, but “only” for an extraordinary achievement in the field of audio-vision for her role in the film Dukla 61.
In addition, she was nominated for the Czech Lion three times during her career – for the first time in 2007 for a supporting performance in the film Secrets, a year later as lead actress in the film Children of the Night and for the third time in 2015 for acting in the lead role in fairy tale Seven Ravens. The nomination for Best Actress for her role as Dana Zátopková in Zátopek was supposed to be a certainty, especially when Issová performed a life performance. But she was unlucky again. She blew out her statue Pavla Gajdošíková.
Pavla Gajdošíková
The Moravian native Gajdošíková started at the theater and, among other things, played the dulcimer and the guitar. After working at the Municipal Theater in Zlín, in 2020 she began performing on boards at the Pod Palmovkou Theater. Viewers could see her in the productions Kind Goddess, Shakespeare in Love, Žítkov Goddess or Cherry Orchard.
At that time, she already had extensive experience in front of the camera. She made her film debut in 2012 as a film DonT Stop, followed by a mini-roller in the work of Agnieszka Holland Burning Bush. Then she took a break from the movie.
Gajdošíková devoted herself more intensively to serial production. Viewers could register her, for example, in a small role in the fifth episode of the first series, Cases of the 1st Department. With each new series, her roles grew. She made a significant contribution to the memory of the audience in the series Anatomy of Life and Spunti on the Road. In 2021, a return to film came and it was the role in the film Errors that earned her a straight statuette of the Czech Lion for the best acting performance. And that’s just thirty years old Gajdošíkové.
