Ayodhya: When PM Modi was doing a road show in Ayodhya, the city of Lord Shri Ram, on December 30, a unique sight was seen, where a crowd of thousands had gathered to welcome Prime Minister Modi. During this time, Iqbal Ansari, who was a supporter of Babri Masjid, was also present among the hundreds of residents of Ayodhya who stood on the streets to welcome PM Modi on Saturday. Iqbal Ansari, son of Hashim Ansari, the main party in the Babri Masjid case, who once claimed the Babri Masjid on the disputed site, was seen showering flowers on PM Modi’s convoy. Let us tell you that Prime Minister Modi visited Ayodhya on Saturday and during this, apart from laying the foundation stone of many other projects in Uttar Pradesh, he inaugurated an Ayodhya railway station and a newly constructed airport.
What did Iqbal Ansari say
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s convoy passed through Panji Tola area during the road show in Ayodhya, Iqbal Ansari said that he (Modi) has come to our place. He is our guest and our Prime Minister. We are Ayodhya residents, we know how to treat everyone with respect. When PM Modi’s convoy passed in front of Iqbal Ansari’s house in Panji Tola, Iqbal was standing there to welcome him. As soon as PM Modi’s convoy passes Gujarat, Iqbal Ansari starts showering flowers. During this time many people are present around Iqbal Ansari.
Who is Iqbal Ansari?
Actually, Iqbal Ansari is the son of Hashim Ansari, who was a party to the Babri Masjid case. The first invitation card for the ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ of Ram temple in Ayodhya was received by Iqbal Ansari, who was one of the litigants in the Ayodhya land dispute case. His father Hashim Ansari, the oldest litigant in the land dispute case, died in 2016 at the age of 95. After this Iqbal Ansari took the case forward in the court. Iqbal Ansari told news agency PTI that when Modi ji’s convoy came in front of my house, I showered rose petals on him. My family members were also present.
Babri Masjid’s parties were in the Supreme Court
Earlier, litigants Iqbal Ansari, Haji Mehboob and Mohammad Omar had categorically refused any out-of-court settlement of the Ayodhya dispute. A resolution was passed in a meeting of local Muslims in Ayodhya, stating that Muslims will not shift the mosque to any other place. Let us tell you that on November 9, 2019, the Supreme Court had supported the construction of Ram Temple by a government trust at the disputed site in Ayodhya and ruled that an alternative five-acre plot should be found for a mosque in the holy city of Hindus. After this, the way for Ram temple in Ayodhya was paved and a separate place for the mosque was provided by the government.
