Fans of The Masked Singer have been busy trying to guess who the singer behind The Grandfather Clock is.
The show’s new series, adapted from a South Korean TV format, is back for its second series and has thrilled its fans.
Who is the masked singer’s grandfather clock?
The Masked Singer 2021 is off to a good start.
However, the identity of The Grandfather Clock has yet to be revealed, although rumors are circulating that it is football specialist Chris Kamara.
The clues given at the first show included that he “was in charge of a large estate” and that he was “no stranger to the scene”.
In his VT he put emphasis on the words ‘pride’ and ‘lion’ which led the judges to think he could be an English football star.
His last clue read, “I was never a college student but I was called a genius. “
The show is judged by Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan, and their guesses were very focused on the soccer theme, ranging from David Seaman, Des Lynam, Les Ferdinand and David James to Bradley Walsh and Frank Skinner.
So far, singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Mel B of the Spice Girls have been unmasked on the show.

Soccer expert Chris Kamara has hinted it could be the masked singer’s grandfather’s clock.
Fans of the show took to social media to claim the former footballer, 63, was behind the disguise.
And Chris didn’t do much to dispel the rumors by appearing about Steph’s packed lunch when the discussion turned to Saturday’s episode of the hit ITV show.
Host Steph McGovern said, “I have to ask you Kammy, are you grandpa clock on The Masked Singer? “
Keeping her lips tight, Kammy replied, “It’s a great show. “
A photo showing the presenter next to Grandpa’s clock then flashed on the screen, and with his iconic mustache and brown sweater, Kammy looked eerily like the masked figure.
Other guests Jacqui Smith and Russell Kane were quick to comment on this strange resemblance.
Chris cheekily replied, “You timed it! “
But not everyone supports Kammy, although they stick to the soccer theme.
One fan tweeted: “If the masked singer’s grandfather’s clock isn’t Peter Crouch, I’m going to be heartbroken. “
Another said, “Glenn Hoddle for the masked singer’s grandfather clock, anyone?” “
And a third guessed: “Grandpa Clock, I’m going with Spurs and English goalkeeper Ian Walker (only because I loved him and would love it if it was him).” “
