A week after revealing the identity of Martha Sánchez and Marko in the characters Toucan and Microphone, the reality show, Who is the Mask?, continued with the competition tonight, revealing the identity of one more participant.
In this Sunday’s broadcast, regional Mexican singer Alexander García “El Fantasma” was revealed, under the mask of Erik el Roto, a character who was introduced in the reality show along with Tutupótama and Ricardilla.
“These are things that are outside our scope,” said the singer about his elimination, to the disbelief of researchers Carlos Rivera, Juanpa Zurita, Anahí and Martha Higareda.
The host Omar Chaparro asked him how he had managed to climb the ladder in music after being a gardener, to which he responded “I don’t even know (…) people started to like it and here we are.”
Two of the researchers took the opportunity to express their admiration. “You are a great example for Latinos that dreams can come true,” Martha Higareda told him. “I hope that one day we will have to share the stage because you are great,” added Carlos Rivera.
Among the clues he gave were his taste for partying, dancing and that he was originally from the Sierra, in addition to his northern accent.
Before The Phantom was eliminated, the three characters made their introductions. Juanpa Zurita, representing the researchers, let the audience know that Ricardilla was saved, so Erik el Roto and Tutupótama were up for consideration by the public vote in the study.
Later, Erik the Broken was announced as the least voted. “That’s why they nickname me the Broken One,” said the character. “It feels a little ugly,” he said, who would later be unmasked.

Later in the program, it was the turn of Pony, Dale Dale and Camilo el Madrilo, three other characters who fought. In that contest, Pony was the underdog, so he had to face Erik the Broken, whom he surpassed.
Next Sunday the reality show will continue to reveal the identity of its participants.
