Who is Rajwa Al Saif, the Saudi fiancée of Jordan’s Crown Prince?

On Thursday, the Jordanian capital, Amman, will witness the wedding ceremony of the Jordanian Crown Prince, Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, and his Saudi fiancée, Rajwa bint Khalid bin Musaed Al Saif.

Jordan declared June 1 an official holiday to celebrate the marriage, according to Reuters.

And in August 2022, the Jordanian royal court announced the engagement of the Jordanian crown prince to the young Saudi woman.

Who is Ragwa Al Saif?

She is an architect and is the youngest daughter of Saudi businessman Khalid bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al-Saif, according to the magazine “Time“.

And her mother is Azza bint Nayef Abdulaziz Ahmed Al-Sudairi, according to the Jordanian “Kingdom” channel.

The bride was born in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on April 28, 1994, and she is a descendant of the sheikhs of Sudair in Najd. She has two brothers, Faisal and Nayef, and a sister, Dana, according to Agence France-Presse.

The 29-year-old Saudi architect is the scion of a large family with links to the ruling family in her country, according to Reuters.

And Rajah has a relationship with the Saudi royal family, as her mother is part of the Sudairi family, and thus she is close to the Saudi Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, according to Time magazine.

The origin of the Al-Saif family goes back to the Subai’ tribe, who are the sheikhs of the town of Al-Attar in Sudair, in the Najd region in central Saudi Arabia, since the beginning of the era of King Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Rajwa Al-Saif received her high school education in Saudi Arabia and completed her higher education at the School of Architecture at Syracuse University in New York.

To celebrate the wedding, the red royal motorcade, which appears on royal and national occasions, will roam the streets of Amman on Thursday, accompanied by the car of the prince (28 years old) and his bride (28 years old), as it accompanied the two wedding processions of King Abdullah and King Hussein kissed him, according to “Agence France Presse”.

The procession, which will carry 71 members of the Royal Guard, will consist of 14 red convertible Land Rover cars and 10 motorcycles. After the wedding ceremony, a reception and dinner will be held in the Husseiniya Palace.

Prince Hussein was born in Amman on June 28, 1994. He is the eldest child of King Abdullah and Queen Rania. He has a brother, Prince Hashem, and two sisters, Princess Iman and Princess Salma.

And Prince Hussein became crown prince in July 2009 when he was 15 years old, according to “Agence France Presse”.

The Jordanian Crown Prince completed his high school studies at Kings Academy School in Jordan in 2012, and studied international history at Georgetown University in the United States before he, like his father and late grandfather King Hussein, received military lessons at Royal Sandhurst in Britain, from which he graduated in 2017.
