If Donald Trump (75) leaves in 2024, all other Republicans will have no chance in the battle for the party’s nomination.
This has been the prevailing view among experts in American politics until now.
A number of potential candidates have also made it clear that they will support Trump – or not oppose him – if he is on the starting line in 2024.
Among them are former UN Ambassador Nikky Haley, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem and Senator Marco Rubio.
But one who has not given such a guarantee is Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (43). It has attracted attention.
