Who is Maluk Nagar, who showed courage in Parliament, won the election after losing twice in a row, is the richest MP of UP

New Delhi. People of the country may not know much about the Lok Sabha member from Bijnor parliamentary seat of Maluk Nagar, UP, but after an incident in the Parliament on Wednesday, his name also came into the headlines. It is not that Maluk Nagar has gathered his courage seeing the crisis looming, rather the vitality is already filled within him. Nagar had won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections after losing the elections twice in a row to Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in UP.

Mayawati’s BSP contested Maluk Nagar from Meerut and Bijnor in 2009 and 2014, but lost. Even after this, neither the party’s trust in him diminished nor Maluk’s faith in himself diminished. He entered the field for the third consecutive time and registered a big victory for the marginalized BSP in UP. Malook’s name is included among the richest MPs of UP.

Return after losing by a margin of lakh votes
Maluk Nagar had the determination to win and the courage to face difficulties from the beginning. In 2014, he contested from Bijnor parliamentary seat as a BSP candidate and lost by more than 1 lakh votes. Even after this his courage did not diminish. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BSP and SP made him a joint candidate. Despite the weight of expectations from two parties, Maluk won for the third time by a huge margin.

Businessman Nagar born in Hapur
Maluk Nagar is a well-known businessman of UP. He was born on July 3, 1964 in Shakarpur village of Hapur district. Father Rameshwar Dayal Nagar and mother Shanti Nagar were very happy about this, their son is topper in studies. Nagar passed high school from HNS College, Upera in 1980 and completed 12th from AS Inter College, Meerut. After completing his graduation in Science i.e. B.Sc. from SSV Degree College, Hapur in the year 1985, he decided to do business.

One of the rich MPs of UP
Maluk is a big businessman of Uttar Pradesh and his name is included in the list of rich MPs of the state. According to the affidavit filed in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Nagar’s total assets are around Rs 250 crore. He has immovable assets worth more than Rs 115 crore, which include property and agricultural land. Maluk also has huge debt from the banks, because the banks have owed him Rs 101.61 crore in the past. SBI had issued a recovery notice of Rs 54 crore against him and his brother, after which Income Tax raids were also conducted at some places in Nagar.
