‘The Summer Grand Prix’ returns this Monday, August 5, with two new towns, Ondara (Alicante) and Santo Domingo de la Calzada (La Rioja). In this fourth show, the locals will take part in a crazy and entertaining showdown to win. Jaime Astrain will support Ondaraand Norma Duval will be the godmother of Santo Domingo de la Calzada.
Jaime Astrain will be Ondara’s godfather, in charge of helping the residents of the Alicante town and giving them luck. Astrain is a well-known face on television. He was born in Madrid 36 years ago, works as a model and is a regular on television shows and talk shows. Before that, he was a footballer.
During his time as an athlete he played for teams such as Pontevedra B, Córdoba, Cartagena and Real Jaén. He retired from professional competition at just 27 years of age.
Jaume Astrain is now dedicated to fashion, the representation of athletes and the world of television. He has been a regular on ‘El chiringuito de jueganes’ and has participated in television programs and contests such as ‘Traitors España’ and ‘Baila como puedes’. He has also participated as a guest on ‘Pasapalabra’. ‘Forbes’ magazine included him in the list of The 100 best content creators in 2023.
Astrain, 36, is in a relationship with television presenter Lidia Torrent Anca, with whom he has a daughter.
Astrain will be participating this Monday, August 5, as Ondara’s godfather in the program ‘El Grand Prix del verano’, alongside Ramón García, Cristinini, Wilbur and the funny Vaquilla (10:00 p.m. on TVE’s La 1 and RTVE Play).
