At 29 years old, David Mora (10-5-0) is in spectacular shape and with enormous ambition, after having achieved his first triumph in boxing without gloves, in the company of Conor McGregor, against Fran Suárez, last October. So much so that this Saturday he will seek to conquer the Caja Mágica and the hearts of mixed martial arts (MMA) fans, when he climbs into the cage against Allef Jordelly (6-2), in the main card of WAR 4, the event of the Ilia Topuria coaches that will be held at the aforementioned Madrid venue.
The Spanish fighter, originally from Alcalá de Henares, has been out of the cage all this year, too much for a champion who was hungry for big things. And since he won the AFL belt (another of the major Spanish leagues) in December 2023, he had not competed in MMA again. Now, with a 10-5 professional recordwants to obtain his eleventh victory and continue climbing his merits to end up, as every fighter wants, one day in the UFC.
David Mora’s rise as an important fighter on the national scene is more than proven. Six years ago, he packed his bags and went to live in London, leaving his entire life behind, with the purpose of continuing to advance his professional career. There he ended up at the famous London Shootfighters, the gym from which talents such as Michael Venom Page and Amir Albazi, among other great international fighters, have emerged.
After living precariously in the British capital and training many hours daily, he returned to Madrid, where he ended up joining the ranks of The Black Panther, one of the largest gyms nationwide. After having won the AFL belt last year, now comes a great opportunity to show that he is at a high level to continue his career. Time is in your favor, so is experience.. We will see how far the Alcalaíno who wants to conquer the Caja Mágica manages to go.
