The world has never been in a better position to end the COVID-19 pandemic, World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said today. At the same time, he urged countries not to curtail their efforts to fight the novel coronavirus, which has so far claimed the lives of more than six million people, Reuters reported.
“We haven’t gotten to that point yet. However, the end (of the pandemic) is near,” the WHO chief told reporters at a virtual press conference, BTA reported.
