GERB announced Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev as persona non grata.
“Both Asen Vasilev and Kiril Petkov are persona non grata for GERB”, Kostadin Angelov, a deputy from the former ruling party, said in “Offensive with Lyubo Ognyanov” on NOVA NEWS.
“We will vote against the cabinet – we are consistent in this position,” he said and reminded that GERB submitted a vote of no confidence. “In these months in which they rule, we only listen to lies,” Angelov added. Angelov confirmed that if the mandate is given to GERB, they discussed that it should be returned immediately and that the best thing for the moment is to go to elections. The MP also pointed out that we are entering a serious excess deficit and a spiral of inflation.
He also commented on the procedure for expelling Russian diplomats as wrong. “This is already a fact. This fact is the behavior of a country. We cannot make Bulgaria kneel because some other country – in this case the Russian Federation – says: “Change your decision”. This is our decision. It can is wrong. Bulgaria is a sovereign state and we must keep the face of Bulgaria unsullied”.
According to him, we must make sure that Bulgaria comes out of “this scandal” with normal relations with the Russian Federation. “We have chosen our side in this war. We are on the side of Ukraine. But in this situation, we must think about the years ahead for our country, for the Bulgarians who live there.”
Regarding the inspections of the Ministry of Health and the reported arrears in some hospitals, Angelov, who is a former Minister of Health, commented: “Anyone who has committed a violation must be held responsible for their actions, if they have committed them. But the way it was done reeks and has a very big political flavor.” “It is not dignified to insult the best doctors of Bulgaria”, he was categorical regarding Prof. Gencho Nachev.
