– A team of experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) who visited Wuhan, China to clarify the origin of the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19), was released from quarantine on the 28th and entered a full-scale investigation.
Reuters reported that WHO experts left the hotel for a field investigation after 14 days of quarantine, citing a regular briefing by a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Zhao Lizhen.
At the regular briefing, spokeswoman Zhao said, “WHO experts will engage in activities such as discussions, visits, and field investigations,” and “the highest goal is to prevent future risks and protect life and health.”
Corona 19 was first reported in Wuhan, China, and for this reason, China was recognized as the origin of Corona 19. However, China is refuting the claim.
For this reason, the WHO expert team’s visit to Wuhan is attracting great political interest in China. Regarding the WHO expert’s visit, however, Zhao said, “the political interpretation is inappropriate,” and “this will be an unnecessary hindrance to WHO experts conducting research in China.”
