Lyudmila and Vladimir Putin met in Leningrad and married only a few months after they met in 1983. They moved to East Germany, where he began working as a KGB officer. After the official end of one of the most important families in the country, Ludmila stopped appearing in public. There were rumors that she had even moved to a convent. She has even adopted the name of her new husband, businessman Arthur Ocheretny, and their first shots together are at London’s Heathrow Airport. Her second husband is a businessman and chairman of the board of the Center for the Development of Interpersonal Communications Foundation, whose patron is Ludmila herself.
She even established a literary award and a publishing house run by the organization. According to media reports, the two currently live in a luxury villa on the French coast. The mansion is worth more than six million euros. It was bought in December 2013 – six months after the divorce of Vladimir and Lyudmila Putini. However, according to journalists, the villa has been under restoration for several years. Ocheretni is the owner of several other luxury properties. His organization is located in a house where Leo Tolstoy is believed to have written his great work War and Peace.
