Medan, CNN Indonesia –
Chairman of the Muslim Forum (WENT) Medan City, Nursarianto opened his voice regarding the dissolution of the Jaran Kepang show in Medan Sunggal Subdistrict, which went viral. He said the party who disbanded was the local Head of the Environment (Kepling) who was also the Commander of FUI Medan.
In the video that was circulating, the performance ended in clashes and FUI members were seen spitting on a woman.
“The commotion occurred on Friday, April 2, 2021 at around 5 pm But the one who dismissed the show was the Head of the Environment who was the Commander of FUI Medan,” Nursarianto said, Thursday (8/4).
“But at that time FUI members took Kepling to his house. It turns out that at that time there was a Jaran Kepang show,” he continued.
According to Nursarianto, when he saw the show, Kepling, who was wearing the FUI Medan shirt, spontaneously dismissed it.
However, he denied that the reason for the dissolution was as reported, namely that it was considered shirk. Rather, he said, there was no permit and violated health protocol due to crowding.
“The reason for the disbandment is not because there is shirk. This is to divert crowd violations and there is no permit,” he said.
“When asked to Kepling about the permit for the event, Kepling said that there was no permit for the event. As a result, the leader of Kuda Lumping did not accept the invitation because he felt cheated,” he continued.
“However, the woman who wore black clothes as the invitation for Jaran Kepang did not accept the event. Kepling was disbanded. Until she screamed and there was a commotion among residents who did not accept the Kepling,” said Nursarianto.
“At that time, FUI Medan only ordered the spectators to leave the location because of the crowd, because they happened to be taking the Kepling. But the invitees and local residents did not accept it,” he continued.
After disbanded, he added, Medan FUI members headed for the car not far from the parked car. But the residents who invited the Jaran Kepang show instead attacked Laskar FUI Medan. As a result, 1 Laskar FUI Medan was injured and has already reported to the Medan Sunggal Police.
“At that time, the FUI Laskar only intervened, did not take any resistance. A FUI Laskar was injured in the head which resulted in dizziness and was unable to carry out activities as a result of the beating,” said Nursarianto.
“Until the attackers left and the FUI Laskar returned to the Marendal area. After that, FUI Medan reported the incident of the attack to the Sunggal Police,” he continued.
Nursarianto claimed that FUI Medan had helped the government and calmed the community and asked to go home so that there would be no crowds during the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The FUI of Medan City asked that the donors of lumping horses be arrested because they had held an event without permission and there was a crowd causing Covid-19 violations and arresting the perpetrators of the beating, estimated to be more than 10 people,” said Nursarianto.
The video of a group of members of the Medan Islamic Community Forum (FUI) Special Laskar dispersing Jaran Kepang on Merpati Street, Sei Sikambing B Village, Medan Sunggal Subdistrict, Medan City, North Sumatra on Friday, April 2, 2021 went viral on social media.
