The premiere of the film “Mother’s milk”, in which she plays the main role, was attended by the actress Maija Doveika together with the closest people, among whom were also mother and son, but she chose a seat in the middle between her former lover Mārtiņš Bute and the rapper R2RS of the association “Kreisais krasts” (in the real named Artūrs Strēlnieks).
This incited those present to talk about the fact that Bute might have returned to Maia’s life and that he might be the mysterious man whom the actress just spoke of as her second half in an interview with “Ieva” magazine. When asked if she is currently ready for a new relationship, Maija Ievai admitted that “with an honest answer, I could blow up the air”. “I can say that I love a person who loves me. And I am absolutely sure about this relationship,” the actress, whose relationship life has never been calm and predictable, said in an interview.
Only time will tell if Bute, from whom Doveik has divorced at least three times, is really the man she is talking about in the interview. Since both do not comment on their private lives, we can only make guesses, including that Maia’s attention was equally attracted by the rapper R2RS, who worked as a field assistant in the filming of Mother’s Milk, and Bute as a “good friend” (someone always described in interviews after another divorce) with invited simply for distraction. But it is just as likely that Maya has none of them in her heart right now.

In the “Splendid Palace” cinema, the same thing happened again as in the premiere of the movie “Bille” in 2018 – Mārtiņš and Maija, although they watched the movie while sitting in chairs next to each other in the hall, tried hard to avoid being captured together before and after the screening.
It is strange that Bute, despite the attention he received, which was obviously not pleasant, did not rush away immediately after watching the film, but lingered among the guests of the premiere. During the evening, the businessman was quite dull. While sipping wine, as usual, he mostly kept a very decent distance from Maya, so that he could see who she was talking to and hear what was being said, but not get in the same frame with Maya. It could be felt that Maija is also looking after Mārtis or looking for eye contact in order to coordinate the future actions at the event.
The relationship between Maia and Mārtiņš lasted for many years with several breaks. They have never been simple and have experienced a crisis from time to time. Bute’s presence in the actress’s life appeared in mid-2012 after her divorce from the Chilean percussionist Miguel Hernandez, with whom her son Pavil Andres was born in 2009. The first news about the divorce of Maija and Mārtiņš came out after four years of their life together. At the time, a few months after the end of the relationship, Maia did not hide that she was still trying to recover from the changes in life, which, undeniably, had left a sting. In the spring of 2016, Maija flourished significantly, rarely smiled, changed her image and seemed content with life, while Bute was seen attending cultural events in the company of other ladies. In March 2017, Doveika told “Ieva” magazine that she still has a good and close relationship with Mārtiņš: “Mārtiņš is very dear to me and will be very dear to me for a very long time – just like me to him. Nothing ends or begins the moment something begins or ends in the eyes of others.” Soon after, the couple managed to rekindle their relationship, and Bute flew around the actress again, and the two attended social events together. At the time, the actress confirmed to the edition “Kas Jauns” that she is with her loved one, because “you have to let things just happen and watch how life turns”. The next divorce of the two took place in the fall of 2017, when the actress was very active on social networks, interested in the possibility of finding a new place to live. After that, both were seen together again, attending the “Gamers’ Night” event, as well as Mārtiņš appreciating Maia’s work in theater performances.
Since the start of the pandemic, with social life at a standstill, little has been heard about the affairs of the two’s hearts. In October 2021, Kas Jauns witnessed Bute relaxing at the Riga Zoo with actress Aneta Krasovska.
In theater circles, the two were talked about as a new couple, and in the summer, Anete and Mārtiņš, warmly embraced, could be seen at more than one event. This suggested that everything was over between Maia and Martin. That Mārtiņš could be a free man again came to light in January of this year, when the actress of the Daile Theater Anete Krasovska published sweet photo moments on social networks, in which she is seen, closely hugged by acting student of the Latvian Academy of Culture, Olaf Putrāl.
