A disappointing forecast for the development of a coronavirus vaccine was made by a leading WHO specialist and professor at London’s Imperial College, David Nabarro.
In an interview with The Observer, the professor said that in the foreseeable future, the vaccine may not appear at all, since COVID-19 is an extremely complex type of virus.
Nabarro did not rule out that humanity would have to live with this virus for some time, adjacent to it as a constant threat.
“This means that it will be necessary to isolate people with symptoms of the disease and those who have contacted them. The elderly will need to be protected. At the same time, hospitals must be able to receive patients with coronavirus. This will become a new norm for all of us, ”he emphasized.
