In an attempt to monetize twitter which, according to figures provided in November by Elon Musk himself, registered a negative balance of four million dollars a daythe social network is opening all kinds of fields to get afloat through its Twitter Blue subscription service.
Since this service was introduced in 2021, there has been a huge controversy since the social network always worked in a free format. It was with the arrival of Musk last year that this service project was promoted, but without good results.
As a consequence, Twitter had to temporarily close this service to rethink it and not make the same mistakes again. And barely a month later, the company has already relaunched Twitter Bluealthough for the moment It is only available in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

With this system, Musk said he would split account verification into three colors: blue (important users and celebrities), gold (companies) and gray (for government organizations or NGOs).
While current gold verifications have been delivered conventionally and without paying a dime, Musk is now changing this system and has set a monthly price for the service.

According to internal messages seen by The Information, “Twitter is likely to charge brands $1,000 per month” to keep your gold verified badge, plus $50 per month for each affiliate account.
“As an Early Access subscriber, you will get a gold checkmark for your organization and membership badges for its associates,” reads an email found between Twitter product manager Evan Jones and an unidentified company. “If you want to subscribe, Verified for Organizations costs $1,000 per month and $50 per additional affiliate ID per month with one month of free memberships”.
The medium, however, points out that the pricing structure is still being worked on, so it might not be the final one. For now, what they have more or less defined are the dates.
