Mayors, parliamentarians, presidents of associations… They are calling for demonstrations in Montpellier on February 11 in response to the platform of elected environmentalists “and the revolt of the animalist party”.
They are from all the political parties from the Insoumis to the National Rally, passing through Renaissance, the Socialist Party or Les Républcains. A rare ecumenism, intended to respond to “at the podium of elected ecologists and the revolt of the Animalist Party”.
Tribune in which, these elected officials intended that the world of the bouvine cease with animal abuse in particular at the time of the ferrade of the calf or the castration (bistournage) made without anesthesia. A platform taken as an attack on Camargue traditions after the will of the same elected officials to abolish bullfighting.
The signatories will parade in Montpellier on February 11 at the call of the collective “The Union of young people from Provence and Languedoc for the defense of our traditions”. According to the organizers, several thousand demonstrators are expected.
