Who are the richest women in Italy: the ranking

The new Forbes ranking with the 52 Italian billionaires is not made up of only “Scroogies”: in the list of the richest in our country, there are 16 entrepreneurs with nine-figure assetsamong which we find the youngest among the rich and also some new entrants.

In the Forbes 2022 ranking with the names of the wealthiest and most wealthy, the youngest ever with an age of 44 each are Marina Caprottidaughter of the founder of Esselunga, Bernardo Caprottiwhich records assets in dollars of 1.5 billion and Simona Giorgetta, grandson of the founder of Mapei, Giorgio Squinzi, and main shareholder of the company, with 1.3 billion (here the ranking of the billionaires who earned the most in 2021)

This year there are three debuts in the ranking among women: the first new entry in 14th place is Susan Carol Holland, president and daughter of the founder of Amplifon, with assets of 3.8 billion, 778th in the world (here the general ranking of the billionaires of Italy 2022).

Entrepreneur with an Italian-British passport, she graduated in sociology and psychology from Keele University in Newcastle in England, with a postgraduate diploma in Speech Therapy at the University of Milan.

After an experience as a speech therapist at the Polyclinic Hospital of Milan, she worked as a Marketing Assistant in Amplisystem, Amplifon’s Personal Computer division from 1983 to 1991. She has been a member of the group’s board of directors since 1988, to then become the vice president in 1993 and to assume the presidency of the company since 2011.

In 45th place, with an estimated assets of around 1.4 billion, it also enters the ranking Lina Tombolatowidow of the founder of Banca Mediolanum, Ennio Doris, who passed away on November 24 at the age of 81, with whom she married in 1966 and had two children, Massimo Antonio, managing director of the credit institution, and Annalisa Sara, president executive of the Mediolanum Onlus Foundation and director of Banca Mediolanum.

Another new entry, in 52nd position with 1.3 billion of assets is Stefania Trivamanaging director of Copan, a company that in 2003 invented and placed on the market the “flocked” swabs, used as an anti-Covid test, for their ability to release 80% of the sample taken from the nostrils.

The richest woman in Italy is confirmed again this year, the owner of the pharmaceutical company Menarini, Massimiliana Landini Aleotti, fifth in the ranking, despite a reduction in its assets from 9.1 to 5.4 billion. Here is the 2022 ranking of billionaires in our country according to Forbes:
