who are the first declared candidates?

The mapping of candidates for the legislative elections (June 12 and 19, 2022) in Poitou is becoming clearer. We now know the names of those who will defend the colors of the presidential majority as well as all the suitors of the union of the left. We take stock of the main declared candidates, the prospective and the non-runners in Vienne and Deux-Sèvres.

Poitiers-Nord (1st district of Vienne), open ballot

The outgoing MP: Francoise Ballet-Blu (in office since 2020), LREM.

Challengers declared or about to be: Lisa Belluco (elected in charge of town planning in Grand-Poitiers), EELV. The ecologist will be supported by insubordinate France within the framework of the national agreement of the New Popular Union; Jerome Neveux (Mayor of Jaunay-Marigny) for the right (LR-UDI); Kevin CourtoisRN ; Marie-Aline de Mascureau for reconquest.

Poitiers-Sud (2nd district of Vienne), LFI believes in it

The incumbent: Sacha HoulieLREM

Challengers declared or about to be: Valerie Soumaille, LFI. The rebellious is invested in the framework of the national agreement of the New Popular Union, to the detriment of the ecologist Aloïs Gaborit. On a territory where Jean-Luc Mélenchon often came first on April 10, the left hopes to make a move; Jean-Louis Ledeux (Mayor of Lusignan) is tipped for the right-wing departmental majority. At the RN, it is Julien Dubois, who will be vying for the RN and Marie Dolores Prost for Reconquest the party of Eric Zemmour.

Sud-Vienne (3rd district of Vienne), the pass of 4 for the outgoing?

The incumbent: Jean-Michel Clement, Public place.

The chosen one leaves for a 4th term under a new banner. The ex-socialist and former macronist will notably face him the mayor of Gençay François Bock (right-wing departmental majority), the mayor of Civray Pascal Lecamp (MODEM invested by Renaissance) or the Republican Leonard Zerbib. The rebel Jason Valente will represent the left. Olivier Lepercq will present the colors of Reconquest.

Nord-Vienne (4th district of Vienne), the far right in ambush

The incumbent: Nicholas TurquoisModem.

Supported by LREM in 2017, the elected official will be supported again in 2022. He will have to be wary of extremes in a sector which has often placed Marine Le Pen in the lead in the presidential election. At the RN, it is Marion Lathus who was chosen. At Reconquest, Alain Verdin will be the incumbent candidate. Among the Republicans, Anne-Florence Bourat, finalist of the last ballot, is approached, but with the risk of seeing the National Rally in the second round, the elected Châtelleraudaise would still hesitate, not wanting to multiply the candidatures on the right. On the left is the socialist Flavien Cartier who was inducted by the New Popular Union.

Niort (1st district of Deux-Sèvres), Jérôme Baloge will not go

The incumbent: Guillaume ChicheThe New Democrats.

The Niortais Guillaume Chiche must announce his choice a priori next week, but the former deputy of the majority should leave under the LND banner. If the Republican Dominique Sixfirst deputy of the city of Niort, and the Radical valoisien Jerome Balogethe mayor, left doubts about a possible candidacy for a time, the expected challenger will ultimately be an LREM candidate in the person of the Niortais municipal councilor and deputy for town planning Bastien Marchive. The rebel Francois Charron will represent the union of the left.

Melle (2nd district of Deux-Sèvres), boulevard on the left for Delphine Batho

The outgoing MP: Delphine PeopleGeneration Ecology.

This is the seat that will be scrutinized closely in the region. Delphine Batho is a candidate for a fourth term in Mellois. She should have a free hand on the left. The Insoumis, EELV and the PS will not present a candidate against her. The Republican Emilie Baudrez will have a lot to do to unbolt the former minister of ecology, third in the last primary of the greens. On the LREM side, it is Cecilia Rochefort, lawyer, who will defend the colors of the presidential majority.

Bressuire (3rd district of Deux-Sèvres), suspense at all levels

MP LREM Jean-Marie Fievet was invested by the Renaissance movement and returned to battle. Its detractors would be Olivier Guibert for the RN and Philip Robin, vice-president of the agglo 2B, for the Republicans. The rebel Axel Urbain will represent the left.
