Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – In the prophecy of the Word Palon Noyo Genggong it is stated that there is a sign of a change to a new era. His name is Surya pethak where the sunlight which is usually reddish when it rises to sunset turns white. This phenomenon occurs for 7 to 40 days.
What is the explanation of the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN) regarding this matter?
Lapan researcher Andi Pangerang explained that sunlight consists of a spectrum of colors that have different waves, where purple has the shortest wavelength and red has the longest wavelength.
When sunlight hits Earth’s atmosphere, the spectrum with longer wavelengths such as red, yellow, orange will easily pass through the atmosphere, while shorter wavelengths such as blue and purple are scattered by the atmosphere in all directions.
“That’s why the sun and sky look reddish when it rises and sets and why during the day the sun is white and the sky is blue,” said Andi Pangerang as quoted from the Lapan website, Wednesday (15/9/2021).
Regarding the phenomenon of Surya Pethak, the Sun that turns white during the day from sunrise to sunset, Andi Pangerang suspects that this is probably due to cloud cover that can block sunlight from passing through the atmosphere. This is caused by volcanic eruptions and changes in sea water circulation which can increase the evaporation of water vapor.
“It is very unlikely that the cloud cover covering the Earth’s surface was caused by a prolonged decline in solar activity such as that which occurred in 1645 to 1715.” he said.
Andi added that the Surya Pethak phenomenon would not occur at least if it was associated with solar activity. However, this phenomenon can still be made possible by volcanic eruptions and changes in the sea water cycle which until now are still difficult to predict by volcanologists and oceanographic scientists.
