Meanwhile, over 170 countries are participating in the Covid-19 Vaccines Global Access (Covax) Facility, a project that aims to speed up vaccine development and ensure doses for all countries by distributing them to the most at-risk segments of the population. The plan, led byWHO, dalla Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations e da Gavi Alliance (foundation linked to Bill Gates), is supported by some traditional US allies, including Japan, Germany and the European Commission.
