The mayor of Prague, Zdeněk Hřib (Pirates), does not agree with the current color distribution. According to him, Prague has a lower number of infected people per 100,000 inhabitants than many other districts. It does not have a higher share of community spread or more hospitalized.

According to Minister Vojtěch, the yellow color means the beginning of community transmission.

“I don’t really understand why Prague should be the only one in the higher level,” the mayor told ČTK. He added that he does not see now a fundamental parameter in which the metropolis would be the worst from an epidemiological point of view.

However, the traffic light system will not be launched by the ministry until next week. Until then, the situation may change.
