KOMPAS.com – The attack by the armed criminal group (KKB) has traumatized Natalina Pamean and doesn’t want to return to Papua again.
Because KKB’s action killed Natalina’s beloved husband, Oktovianus Rayo.
Oktovianus is a teacher who works in Julukoma Village, Beoga District, Puncak Regency, Papua.
Even Natalina saw with her own eyes how KKB shot her husband to death.
Meanwhile, Natalina was lucky enough to save herself. He survived thanks to the sound of a whistle.
In seconds the KKB came to the kiosk
Then a KKB member came who said he wanted to buy something at the kiosk.
Shortly thereafter there was a sound of gunfire that caused Oktovianus to fall.
“I heard two shots. I also saw my husband fall straight away. I wanted to help but they (KKB) kept shooting at the house so I ran to the bathroom to hide,” he said at the funeral home to Tribune Toraja, Monday (12/4/2021).
A few minutes later, from the bathroom Natalina heard a whistle.
“When there was a whistle sound, they (KKB) seemed to run and scatter. Maybe the soldiers came. At that moment I came out and immediately went to my husband who was dying,” he explained.
But after that, his house was again attacked by KKB.
In a state of panic, Natalina then hid at a neighbor’s house until the pastor came to evacuate.
“When I was hiding, the Pastor came. At that time the KKB had also fled. I didn’t have time to see my husband anymore because we were quickly evacuated,” he said.

“I don’t want to go back there anymore, I’m still traumatized until now,” said Natalina.
Especially now that the conditions where he lives in Papua are badly damaged. The school where she and her husband taught as honorary staff had also been burned by the KKB.
“There is nothing there, my house and place of work were destroyed and even burned, so why should we come back,” he said.
