The new web tool is available at Porovavac.ctu.cz. For the time being, however, it only runs in pilot mode, and with only limited comparison offers.
–
In practice, this means that people can currently only compare mobile internet offers and their mobile tariffs, which include calls, SMS and data. From next month, there should be a comparison of calls and the Internet at a fixed location and television. According to current plans, the pilot operation is planned until May.
–
Working with the grader is very simple. In the first step, it is necessary to enter basic parameters, such as the amount of consumption, the required type of contractual obligation, etc. Subsequently, an overview of the most suitable available services is displayed according to the individually entered parameters.
–
Individual companies can use this web tool to check how competitive their offer is with other service providers. “The goal of the comparison tool is therefore also a more dynamic development of the electronic communications market through the pressure of informed consumers on service providers,” said Tereza Meravá from the CTU press department.
–
The information must be entered by connection providers
“Clear information on the parameters and prices of services must be entered into the comparator directly by the providers of these services – operators or entrepreneurs. And they also guarantee their accuracy. The service is free and non-commercial, “stated Meravá.
–
She also reminded that the tool was created on the basis of the obligation imposed by the CTU on the new Act on Electronic Communications.
–
“I believe that the price and quality comparator of electronic communications services will contribute to further improving consumer orientation in the market. Service providers will be motivated to adjust their offers faster and thus to develop a competitive environment, “said Hana Továrková, Chairwoman of the Board of the Czech Telecommunications Office.
